The Coolaler.com forum has laid its hands on MSI's X58 Eclipse motherboard and equipped it with Intel´s Core i7 Extreme 965 CPU combined with a high-quality G.Skill triple-channel memory kit.
The Core i7 Extreme CPU was overclocked to 4.067 MHz, while the G.Skill 6 GB DDR3 kit was running at frequencies of 1.017.5 MHz (2.034 MHz). A small detail is that the RAM was powered by 2.05V while the CPU VCore was locked at 1.576. This means that the Eclipse, contrary to other X58 motherboards, is able to adjust the voltages of the CPU and memory seperately and is therefore not limited to 1.65V.
The used G.Skill memory runs at 1017.5 MHz with a latency of 10-8-8-24 1T and an FSB ratio of 2:12. This OC seemed sufficient for MSI's Eclipse to bust the memory bandwidth record and reach a score of 21647 MB/s in Everest's memory reading test.
