Though most of our visitors are familiar with Memtest86, this isn't the only way to stress memory modules in Windows. The program MemTest by HCI Design can come in rather handy to check the memory stability after an overclock.

MemTest comes in three versions: Free, Pro and Deluxe. This week the latest version 3.80 of the program has been released, adding commandline support for the Pro version. Another added feature is the option to automatically run multiple MemTest instances, which can be required since Windows limits the amount of memory a single application can use.

The simple Free edition can be downloaded from the HCI Design as a 15 kB ZIP-file. The Pro version costs USD $5,- and the Deluxe version (with bootable floppy or CD) $14,-.
