Samson Hu, director of ASUS' Eee PC division reports that the company has planned a number of touchscreen Eee PC's for the first quarter of 2009. He also adds that the demand will determine which models will be equipped with a touchpanel, and that the first versions will be shown during the CES 2009.

Hu also mentions that ASUS will launch dual-core Atom-based netbooks, but an exact release date remains unknown. 2009 will also bring an Eee PC model that will cost less than 300 dollar.
