HP DreamColor for mobile power users

HP expands its DreamColor line-up with the EliteBook 8730w Mobile Workstation with DreamColor monitor. The company also announced the EliteBook 8530w Mobile Workstation, the EliteBook 8530p Notebook PC, a calibration kit for the DreamColor LP2480zx Professional monitor, and two high-performance screens.

The EliteBook 8730w is designed for heavy graphics applications and features a 17" DreamColor Display. The screen displays over 16 million colors, a significant improvement compared to the 260.000 colors available on conventional notebooks. The laptop has an Intel quad-core processor, 8 GB of memory and nVidia's next gen Quadro FX card with up to 1 GB of dedicated graphics memory.

The EliteBook 8530w and 8530p are to offer mobile professional graphics solutions. These laptops are suited for Power Users that are active in the fields of animation, video production, broadcasting, photography, design and engineering. Both systems feature a 15.4" screen, Intel CoreTM 2 Duo processor and 8 GB of memory, using a 64 bit operating system. The 8530w also supports Intel quad core mobile processors.

EliteBook PC's feature the HP DuraCase, a brushed anodized aluminum case that uses a chassis with magnesium alloy.

The DreamColor LP2480zx screen is developed in cooperation with DreamWorks Animation SKG. This 24-inch HP DreamColor LCD monitor offers over 1 billion colors in a 30-bit, LED-backlit widescreen display.

De nieuwe DreamColor Advanced Profiling Solution, vanaf nu als optie verkrijgbaar, geeft je de mogelijkheid kleureninstellingen zelf te kalibreren (dus buiten de fabrieksinstellingen om). De oplossing bevat een aangepaste DreamColor colorimeter en kalibratie software.

The LP2475w 24-inch and LP2275w 22-inch widescreen LCD monitors are designed for workstation users that require big monitors to display graphs, video and data. With the high-resolution onscreen presentation, the monitors feature a 1.000:1 contrast ratio and extra-bright screens.

The LP2475w has a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and a color gamma of 102%; the LP2275w has a resolution of 1680 x 1050 with a color reach of 92%. Both screens have wide viewing angles and are adjustable in height, can be swiveled, as well as rotated and be pivoted 90 degrees. The integrated HP Quick Release standard makes it possible to attach the screens to the wall or ceiling esaily. Both displays live up to the ENERGY STAR guidelines.
