Plextor launches its first digital tv-tuner which should allow television to be watched from anywhere on PC or laptop. The Plextor ConvertX PX-DVBT100U also functions as a recorder and transforms laptops into a PVR. All digital tv- or radio programs can be recorded to the hard disk realtime or pre-programmed as well.
To receive free digital tv and radio, it's sufficient to simply activate the software, hook up the tuner through USB 2.0 and attach the bundled antenna. 'Plug & Play' should take care of the rest.
Apart from the recording and playback of digital television, the recording can also be planned through an EPG with daily, weekly or one-time configurations. Thanks to the time-shift function, it's possible to play the programs, pause them, record, stop, rewind and fas-forward.
Apart from full DVB-T compatibility, the tuner is also HDTV ready. The device is bundled with a remote control.
