Inspired by the latest Batman movie, ASUS introduces a 'Dark Knight' version of the GeForce 9800GTX+. The card features a dual-slot cooler and has four heatpipes to spread the heat over the aluminum cooling block. A fan is placed in the middle, as nVidia did earlier with its GeForce 7900GTX/GTO serie. This version however lacks the plastic hood over the cooler.
The card has a blue PCB and an alternative design for the power provision, having the two PEG6 connectors on the backside, whereas the regular versions have them placed on the side. The PCB is reinforced with a metal beam on the side, with room cut out for the (Triple-)SLI connectors.

The card has 512MB of GDDR3 memory which is connected to the G92 core with a 256-bits interface. The clock frequencies are 738, 1936 and 2200 MHz for respectively the core, the 128 shaders and the memory. As a bonux, ASUS bundles a leather mousepad with the card. The recommended price for the new 9800GTX+ is still undisclosed.
