Western Digital introduces the My Passport Essential and Elite. The compact size and weight of only 200 grams makes the disks quite mobile.
The My Passport Elite and Essential offer different features. The disks are powered by USB, making an additional adaptor unnecessary. Both disks can automatically be synchronized when used on multiple computers. Stored data uses a 128-bit encryption. It's possible to playback stored photos and videos on several game consoles utilizing the plug-and-play settings.
The My Passport Elite has some extra options, such as automatic back-up software, capacity indicator, and the ability to restore deleted files using the MioNet software.
The My Passport Elite and Essential will be available in capacities of 160 GB, 250 GB, 320 GB, 400 GB and 500 GB. The recommended price of the My Passport disks of 400 and 500 GB differ from €69,- to €179,-, depending on the chosen model.| Related news |
