According to X-bit labs, Microsoft will release more information on Windows 7, Vista's successor, during the Professional Developers Conference, which is held by the end of October. Reportedly, Microsoft will also provide a select group of software developers with a pre-beta version of its upcoming operating system.
Participants of the conference will have the possbility to join in on 21 sessions that will present the improvements the new technologies and API's of Windows 7 will bring. Microsoft also claims that the new operating system has been improved as whole, including the kernel, networks, hardware and devices and user interface. It's expected that this version will fix all of Vista's weak spots.
Though Microsoft earlier announced that Windows 7 will be launched around January 2010, Bill Gates recently mentioned that this has been rescheduled to about six months earlier: the 3d of June 2009.
