With the KI780G, Albatron proves that mini-ITX boards are no less than their bigger brothers. The board is sized 17x17 cm and has all components required for a complete setup. It has a 24-pin ATX connector and a seperate 4-pin connector for the processor.
There's room for a Socket AM2+ processor with a TDP of up to 65 Watt and the two SO-DIMM memory slots allow up to 4GB of DDR2 memory to be installed in dual channel. It's remarkable that the mini-ITX board features a PCI-Express 4x slot, which is compatible with high-end graphics cards. If you don't need a fast GPU, you could always use the integrated HD3200 graphics processor, which has 128 MB dedicated memory. This graphics chip is compatible with DX10.1 and is able to playback Blu-ray videos perfectly.
The board has four SATA connectors to install hard disks and DVD drives, as well as one IDE port. The I/O panel of Albatron's KI780G is also very complete, featuring Gigabit LAN, e-SATA, 7.1 audio, USB, VGA, DVI and HDMI connectors. The price of this board is still undisclosed.
