After the introduction of nVidia's GeForce 260 GTX with 216 shaders, it was only a matter of time before a watercooled version would be released. EVGA is the first manufacturer to introduce such a card, it's named the GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Hydro Copper 16.

EVGA's latest GeForce 260 GTX will be overclocked, it's core frequency will be 640 MHz, the 216 shaders are clocked at 1404 MHz and the 896 MB of GDDR3 memory at 2106 MHz. To provide enough power, an extra 8-pin PCI-Express connector is needed, apart from the conventional 6-pin one that is. EVGA recommends atleast a power supply of 500 Watt or more with 36 Amps on the +12 Volt line. The card has two DVI connectors and (HD)TV-out. Naturally, support of nVidia's PureVideo, PhysX, CUDA, Triple-SLI and DirectX 10 are also present.

Reportedly, the EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 HC16 will cost US $489.99, when it'll become available isn't known yet.
