After earlier reports on the first Nehalem compatible CPU-cooler, the Nexus FLC-3000, the company has revealed another LGA1366 cooler. Contrary to the FLC-3000, which is intended for high-end systems, the LOW-7000, is aimed towards the HTPC-branche.
Nexus calls the LOW-7000 the perfect solution for HTPC's and Media Centers due to its low profile, the cooler is only 7 cm high. The 12 cm PWM-fan spins between 500 and 2000RPM. According to Nexus, the fan doesn't produce enough sound at 500 rpm to measure it in an ISO-certified acoustic room with 15dB(A) of background noise. The image shows that the CPU-cooler features four heatpipes. Apart from socket 1366, socket 775 is also supported. Nexus has not yet released any detailed information, nor a price and release date.
