ASUS has announced a new version of the GeForce 9400GT graphics card. The 9400 GT is based on nVidia's G96-chip, which has GDDR3 or DDR2 memory with a 128-bit bus. While most manufacturers use 512 MB of memory on the card, ASUS decided to double the numbers to 1 GB of DDR2 memory.

The EN9400GT/HTP/1G has 16 stream processors that run at 1375 MHz, SLI-support and PCIe 2.0 compatibility. The core and memory are clocked at their reference speeds, respectively 800 and 550 MHz. ASUS' new 9400GT has D-Sub, DVI and TV-out connectors.

It's expected the card will become available within a month.
