The demand for 24 inch monitors is rising and so is the competition. It is because of that NEC introduces the MultiSync 24WMGX3, a new 24" screen with an AMVA-panel  and plenty of features. An AMVA-panel usually means an improved viewing angle compared to a conventional TN-panel. The amount of connectors on this screen is also remarkable, apart from the common VGA and DVI connectors, NEC also added two HDMI ports, Component Video, composite and S-Video. NEC's screen can also handle HDCP encryption, making it possible to play HD-video from Blu-ray discs in the highest possible resolution.

The monitor has a piano-black finish and features two integrated 5 Watt speakers. It has a resolution of 1920x1200 with a maximum brightness of 500 cd/m2. The screen bears a 1000:1 contrast ratio, which according to NEC results in a dynamic contrast of 2000:1. NEC claims a viewing angle of 178 degrees and a 6ms response time.

The MultiSync 24WMGX3 can be adjusted 6 centimeter in height and has an "AmbiBright" function, which dynamically determines the brightness on the screen based on the ambient light and the sensors in the screen itself. NEC provides a three-year warranty on the monitor and it will become available shortly at a recommended price of €989 Euro.
