During this year's Computex convention, OCZ announced two new CPU-coolers, being the Gladiator and Gladiator Max. OCZ has now officially launched both coolers. The two new coolers are based on OCZ's Vendetta-serie design with an added heatpipe. It has a total of four copper heatpipe. Also new is the so-called 'pillar design' which should transfer heat away from the processor even faster.

The heatpipes make a direct contact with the processor, something OCZ says stands for a fast heat dissipation. The Gladiator weighs 550 grams including the 92mm fan, whereas the Gladiator Max weighs 780 grams with the 120 mm fan. Both coolers are compatible with AMD's sockets AM2, 939, 754 and 755, as well as Intel's socket 775. OCZ claims that due to the excellent cooling performance and low sound production, the Gladiator coolers are suited for just about anything.
