CaseandCooling has released several product images of two new Zalman MS1000 chassis. As the images show, the case will be released in a black and a white version. Dependant on the model, one or two hard disk bays are installed in the chassis. The models with a single disk bay feature seven 5,25" bays, while the models with two disk bays have four 5,25" bays remaining.
A remarkable thing is that the disk bays are designed for hot-swap use, having the drives easily reachable by means of a door on the front. The SATA and power connectors have been integrated in the chassis, making it possible to expand the amount of disks without having to open the case. Zalman's MS1000 is equipped with noise-cancelling mats and dust filters, which tells us the case is designed for silent operation and minimal maintenance.
The rear of the chassis is equipped with watercooling holes and has room for seven PCI expansion cards. This means that the bottom slot of a full-size ATX motherboard can not have a dual-slot graphics card installed. The I/O panel is positioned on top of the case and sports USB, audio and e-SATA.
At the moment, no information is known regarding pricing and availability. It's likely that Zalman will soon make an official statement, revealing all features of the new MS1000 chassis in detail.
