Panasonic has announced new notebooks featuring Windows 7. The Let's Note N8 and S8 feature a Core 2 Duo P8700 processor, combined with Intel's GMA45 Express Chipset, either 2 or 4 GB of RAM and a 250 GB harddisk. The system has a 12,1" WXGA LCD screen, WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and an HDMI-output. The S8 sports a top-loading DVD burner, rather than a conventional slot loader. Panasonic specifies a battery life of up to 16 hours.
