During the Computex, Intel already presented its 32nm Clarkdale processor, the first CPU which integrates the graphics card and processor into the same chip. At Intel's Developer Forum, the manufacturer has now shown the mobile version of the processor, branded Arrandale.

Like Clarkdale, Arrandale consists of two chips: a 32nm dual-core CPU and a 45 nm chip which features both the graphics card and memorycontroller. The processor is to be combined with the mobile version of the H55 chipset, which is expected to be called HM55.

Arrandale's graphics card is DirectX 10 compatible and sports Intel Clear Video HD technology, which means the chip has an integrated HD videodecoder with some image processing techniques. The processor was demonstrated on a Mini ITX board while a Blu-ray movie was being played.

Notebooks equipped with the Arrandale processor are to be released early next year.
