Last month, Gigabyte launches a GeForce GTX 260 graphics card in its new Super Overclock Series, to which a GTX 275 model is now added. The line line of cards uses the Ultra Durable 3concept, which means high-quality components have been used to enhance the stability and durability. As the name suggests, Gigabyte's new cards come overclocked out of the box.
The new GTX 275 is branded GV-N275SO-18I and sports 1792 MB of GDDR3 memory. Beneath the dual-slot reference cooler, all elements from the Ultra Durable package are included, such as extra-thick copper connections in the PCB, high-quality solid-cap capacitors and low RDS on mosfets. The beating heart of the card is the well-known 55nm GT200b chip, which in the GTX 275 features 240 active stream processors, as well as a 448-bits memory interface. The clock frequencies of the GPU and shader units have been increased from the reference 633 and 1404 MHz to respectively 715 and 1550 MHz. The GDDR3 chips have increased frequencies as well; 2520 MHz, compared to the reference 2268 MHz. This increases the memory bandwidth with almost 10%.
Gigabyte has added VGA, DVI and HDMI outputs to its own PCB design, allowing all conventional monitors to be connected without requiring special adaptors. The new GTX 275 Super Overclock Series is to become available in a few weeks.
