CoolIT introduces a complete watercooling solution for systems with two LGA 1366 processor sockets. This watercooling set, branded WS 240, is a maintenance-free kit that is capable of effectively cooling two 'Nehalem' Xeon processors. CoolIT uses a closed circuit with a powerful CFF1 ceramic pump and a large 117 x 277 x 45 mm radiator, equipped with two 120mm fans.
At the lowest fanspeed, these two coolers sport a sound production of 19,2 dBA, enough to make them hardly audible. The pump makes slightly more sound, about 21 dBA. The two water blocks for the processor use a flexible mounting system that is also compatible with Intel's LGA775 and 1156 sockets. This makes it possible to use CoolIT's WS 240 in older Xeon or Skulltrail systems with socket 775 or 771 as well.
The new WS 240 watercooling set is to cost $270 USD and CoolIT guarantees the set will run atleast 50.000 hours without maintenance or any other inconvenience. CoolIT provides a two-year warranty plan with the set.
