Sapphire introduces 'Pure' 785 motherboard

Earlier this week, Sapphire revealed a new motherboard, based on AMD's 785G chipset. This chipset allows the board, named Pure 785G, to support all recent AMD-processors, including the latest Athlon II X2 and Phenom II X3 and X4 models. The chipset also features an integrated Radeon HD 4200 videochip, equipped with 128 MB DDR3 sideport memory, and supporting DirectX 10.1. The 785G is combined with an SB710 southbridge, which provides the Pure 785G with its connectivity options and Advanced Clock Calibration support.

The Micro-ATX AM3 motherboard features a HyperTransport 3.0 connection which allows the CPU to communicate with up to 8GB of DDR-1066/1333/1600 MHz memory, spread out over two slots. The board has one PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot, as well as two traditional PCI-slots. The six SATA 3.0 Gbit/s connectors support RAID0/1/JBOD. There's also a PATA-connector, eight USB2.0-connectors and D-sub, DVI and HDMI outputs. The audio is taken care of by a Realtek ALC662 5.1 audiochip, while networking is done by Realtek's RTL8111DL Gigabit networkcontroller.

Sapphire's Pure 785G motherboard is to cost about €70.
