Netgear announces Digital Entertainer Live

Netgear launches its latest addition to the "Digital Entertainer" series: the Digital Entertainer Live (EVA2000). Where the advanced EVA9000 series is meant for the die-hard digital media enthusiast, the EVA2000 is to become an allround media player for the mainstream market. Netgear states that with a recommended price of 149 euro, the player is an affordable and user friendly device to play your digital media content, YouTube videos and several other internet content.

The Digital Entertainer is compact and has a simple remote. To use the device, all you need to do is plug a USB-stick with digital content into either one of the two USB-ports and connect the Digital Entertainer Live to the HD-TV by means of an HDMI- or composite cable. The EVA2000 also features RCA jacks, making it compatible with analog TV's as well.

The player features an ethernet port, which allows content from network computers and storage devices to be displayed as well. For wireless use, the wireless USB Adaptor (EVAW111) needs to be purchased seperately.,
