Seasonic has launched two new power supplies in its S12D series. With capacities of respectively 750 and 850 Watt, the supplies are to be compatible with almost every system. Both PSUs feature the 80+ Silver certificate, which means they have a minimum efficiency of 85% over several typical loads. Seasonic claims to have achieved this efficiency by using high-qualiyt Japanese capacitors which are able to withstand temperatures of up to 105° Celsius. The manufacturer also reports that both power supplies are very stable, sporting a maximum voltage difference of 3%.
The 750 Watt model is able to provide a maximum capacity of 62 Amps on the double +12V rails, while the 850 Watt model can handle up to 70 Amps on its two +12V rails. Apart from the conventional powerconnectors such as the 24-pin ATX cable and the two EPS12V processor rails, both models also feature four PCI-E power connectors, nine SATA connectors and six regular 4-pin connectors. The supplies are cooled by a 120mm fan.
Both power supplies are to be released shortly and come with five years of warranty. The Seasonic S12D 750 Watt has a pricetag of about $160 USD, while the 850 Watt model will set you back $180 USD.

The Seasonic S12D series is to guarantee powerful and stable power supplies
