Nordic Hardware and Fudzilla report that the upcoming Intel Core i5 6xx processors, codenamed Clarkdale, will feature different integrated videochips. The topmodel Core i5-670, clocked at 3,46 GHz, is said to have an IGP with a 733 MHz core frequency, while the Core i5-661 has its IGP core clock specified at 900 MHz.

A possible explanation for the decrease in the Core i5-670 is to limit the chip's TDP. The IGP of the 661 has a TDP of 87 Watt, compared to 73 Watt for the 670.

It's expected that the Core i5 processors will be launched in January of 2010.
