AMD's Radeon HD 5800 series is on its way

Without going into detail, AMD has released the most important features of its upcoming "Cypress" high performance GPU to its partners.

The product names aren't very surprising; the Cypress-XT and Cypress-Pro will be retailed as Radeon HD 5870 and Radeon HD 5850. The 5800-series is to be launched in September and expected to be widely available in October.
