Apacer has released a new SSD in the form of the A7 Turbo. The company remains secretive about the used controller and specifies 'exceptionally selected'. The drive will be available in capacities of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of MLC memory chips. The Apacer A7 Turbo has 128 MB of cache memory and the models with 128 GB and 256 GB are claimed to reach speeds of respectively 230 and 200 megabyte/second for reading and writing. The 64 GB SSD has a writing speed of 150 megabyte/sec.

Apacer has decided on an aluminum chassis with a black glossy finish. The company also bundles its exclusive SSD+ Optimizer software with the drive. This software it to optimize the SSD's performance by preventing fragmentation. Apacer has also introduced a limited edition of the SSD which comes with Acronis True Image Home II software and a USB-to-SATA-adaptor.
