Creative introduces Inspire S2 speakerset

Creative has introduced a new 2.1 speakerset this week, branded Inspire S2. The manufacturer claims that the set combines outstanding sound quality with a compact size, making the speakers fit in smaller places as well. With dimensions of 7,4 x 7,3 x 10,3 cm, the satellite speakers are only just bigger than a tennisball, while the 23,2 x 18 x 20 cm Direct-Throw subwoofer is to be able to generate powerful lows and mids.

The right stereo speakers holds most of the functionalities, including the I/O switch, volume regulator, headphone connector and audio-in connector. The subwoofer has its own regulator to adjust the levels of the low tones. The 350-gram weighing satellite speakers have a 6 Watt capacity, while the 1 kg subwoofer has 17 Watt. The frequency range is specified at between 40 Hz and 20 kHz.

Creative's Inspire S2 speaker system is already available in the United Kingdom with a recommended pricetag of £69,99.
