Logitech expands its line-up of mice with two new models that are suited for all surfaces where other mice tend to stop working. Thanks to the so-called Darkfield Laser Tracking technology, these pointers will also work on glass (min. 4mm thick) and shiny surfaces. The two wireless mice, Logitech's Performance Mouse MX and the fittingly-named Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX, are respectively a full-size desktop mouse and a compact notebook version.

Apart from a conventional scrollmode, both models also feature hyper-fast scrolling, to browse through lengthier documents. The Logitech Performance Mouse MX has a special ergonomic design for righthanded users, while the other model has an ambidextrous finish. The Performance MX is equipped with four programmable thumb buttons and is bundled with a micro-USB charger, which recharges the mouse using a computer or wall socket. The mouse stays functional during recharges. The Anywhere MX is bundled with two AA-batteries, has two thumb buttons and comes with a special pouch to store the mouse in.

The wireless communication is done by Logitech's Unifying receiver, which requires less space than a USB-connector. This receiver is able to control up to five additional devices. Supported operating systems include Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, as well as Mac OS X10.4+. Both mice come with a two-year warranty.
