ASUS enters the audio market with the speakersets uBoom and the uBoom Q: two sets meant for use with a laptop. The uBoom has dimensions of 595 x 135 x 90 mm (W*D*H) and weighs just under 3 kg, which means it's not the smallest device to take with you. The speakerset contains two 2" speakers and a 2,5" subwoofer, making for a total capacity of 24 Watt. It's powered by a USB cable and connected to the notebook using an AUX-in connector.

The uBoom Q's 290 x 110 x 72 mm (W*D*H) dimensions make it a lot smaller. The set weighs 400 grams, allowing it to be moved relatively easily. This increase in portability comes with a drawback: the set has a total capacity of only 2,4 Watt. Like the uBoom, ASUS' uBoom Q also contains an AUX-in and is powered by a single USB-cable.

The manufacturer has not yet mentioned any release date or price.
