Mushkin announces AMD-based graphics cards
After Mushkin has added almost every nVidia G200b videochip to its line-up of graphics card, it has started adding cards of competitor AMD to its repertoire. Muskin reports that its UltimateFX series will be expanded with two Radeon HD 4850-based cards. Apart from the clock frequencies and serial numbers, the two models will be identical.
Mushkin's two Radeon cards feature the serial numbers 484850 and 484851, the latter being an overclocked version. This model will have a 700 MHz core frequency, with its memory clocked at 1010 MHz. The 484850 runs at reference speeds, which means that the frequencies for the RV770 core, memory and stream processors are respectively 625, 993, and 625 MHz. The amount of memory to be placed on both cards is still unknown.
The AMD-based graphics cards are equipped with an Arctic Cooling cooling solution and have D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs. Bundled with a driver CD and the extra cabling, the Radeon UltimateFX cards are packed in a typical wooden Mushkin box.
The manufacturer reports that its first Radeon UltimateFX cards will become available in the next few days. Prices have not yet been mentioned.
