ASUS has presented the Bravo 9500, a rather special edition of the GeForce 9500 GT graphics card. The Bravo comes with a special lightsensor to pick up the ambient lighting in the room. This information is relayed to the GPU, after which the monitor's brightness is adjusted. ASUS reports that this makes working on the PC more comfortable for the eyes. They also mention that the colors will be displayed more accurately.

The Bravo 9500 features ASUS' Splendid Plus technology, with a number of profiles pre-installed on the card. These profiles adjust the image display to create the best possible experience while respectively watching movies, gaming and the display of images. Lastly, ASUS also encloses a trial version of the MediaShow Espresso software with its Bravo 9500 card.

The graphics card uses a black PCB and is equipped with a white hood, giving the whole a classy finish. The 128-bits memory interface, 32 stream processors and 512 MB of DDR2 memory immediately reveal that this card isn't one of the fastest available. The clock frequencies of the core and shader units are respectively 550 and 1400 MHz, while the memory is clocked at 800 MHz. The card has connectors for D-Sub (VGA), DVI and HDMI. As of yet, no information is available regarding the pricing and availability of ASUS' new Bravo 9500 card.
