HP's notebooks have had a special finish for a while already, this technology: Imprint technology offers the company to 'print' a design into the case. On a convention in Berlin they have introduced the next generation of these laptops which are to be released in the upcoming months. The new Pavilion 14, 15.4 and 17 inch versions will feature a design HP refers to as 'Liquid Metal', combined with Imprint 2. This results in notebooks with a silver glossy finish and a print that can be felt in some places. Though the design doesn't really show on the photo's it can be called quite innovative and it is certainly interesting to look out for these notebooks at a local retailer soon.
