[Computex08] ASUS shows 10" Eee PC
Since the rumors have existed for a while, it's more of a confirmation than actual news: ASUS is showing a new 10" Eee PC on its special stand. This more luxurious (and more expensive) version is directed at business users. Next to a bigger screen, the keyboard is slightly larger and more comfortable in use. Another important difference with the existing Eee PC's is the usage of a hard disk, rather than flash memory. This means the device is a little less shockproof than its predecessors, but can store a lot more data. The Eee PC 1000 is based on Intel's new Atom processor.
The new 10" Eee PC isn't the only model that will feature an Intel Atom processor. The recently introduced 8.9" Eee PC 900 will be updated with the new, efficient Intel CPU. According to ASUS, this new Eee PC 901 should run a lot longer on its battery than the current Celeron based model.

The current Eee PC's: 4G (7" / Celeron), 900 (8.9" / Celeron) en 901 (8.9" / Atom)
