Acer claims to have released the world´s first 24 inch Full HD monitor, the P244W. Most 24 inch monitors have a 16:10 aspect-ratio with a 1920x1200 pixel resolution. THe P244W has a 16:9 aspect-ratio, resulting in a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. This is the resolution LCD TV's bearing Full HD-logo have.
Acer's P244W has a midtone response time of 2 ms, meaning the reaction time from grey to grey. The response time from black to white isn't known yet. Though the dynamic contrast is reported 20.000:1, this is likely to be an artifical value, created with Acer's Adaptive Contrast Management (ACM) technology. Apart from the usual D-sub and DVI ports, the P244W also has an HDMI output. The recommended price is still unknown.
