Vijay Pande, Folding@home representative, has recently announced a new client which is compatible with nVidia's GeForce cards. Participants of the Folding@home projects link their home computer to a large distrubuted computing network, helping to solve quantum mechanic equations (or other simulation models) that describe how proteins fold. This information contributes to the development of new medical solutions.

When the application will be available and the exact performance is not known yet, but there are high expectations. It is expected that the client will use the CUDA-support in the GeForce GPU's.
