Arctic Cooling has launched a new high end CPU cooler, the Freezer XTREME. The cooler uses the so-called Twin Tower-design, cooling fins on both sides, with a fan in the middle. The Freeze XTREME has four double heatpipes and a silent 120mm fan, running between 800 and 1500 rpm.
According to the manufacturer, the Freeze XTREME has a cooling capacity of up to 160 Watt, making it compatible with all high-end Intel and AMD processors. The cooler can be placed on Intel's socket 775 and AMD's socket 939 and AM2(+). With it's 608 grams, the weight of the cooler seems modest, some high end competitors are almost twice as heavy.
Arctic Cooling's Freezer XTREME is now available and has a recommended price of €30,- (incl. VAT).
