Apacer is releasing a new series of DDR3 memory modules, named the Apacer Aeolus. The modules feature a large turqoise heatsink with a fan mounted on it. The Aeolus modules will initially be available as 2 GB kits with a DDR3-1600 or DDR3-1800 rating. It is said that a DDR3-2000 kit will follow later.

According to the manufacturer the memory chips stay an incredible 20 degrees Celsius cooler than passively cooled modules. The DDR3-1600 modules run at 1.8V with a 7-7-7-20 latency. The DDR3-1800 modules have the same latencies but require 1.9V. The specifications of the DDR3-2000 modules are still unknown.

Apacer wants to introduce the Aeolus during the Computex 2008 and having the modules for sale directly after.
