ASUS has launched the much anticipated XG Station. The external graphics card will cost between €349,- and €399,- in Europe and can be attached to a notebook using the Express Card slot.

The XG Station features an nVidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 256 MB GDDR3 memory. ASUS places the device in the Republic of Gamers (ROG) line-up. The external card can be combined with any Intel 945GM and 965GM chipset, which according to ASUS, increases graphic performance with up to 670%. The XG station has DVI, D-sub and S-VGA ports and comes with the required cabling and adaptors.
