Corsair has announced that its Dominator DDR3 modules have reached the fastest effective clock frequencies, being 2462MHz. The record was broken with a single 1GB DDR3 module in a Single Channel setup with 9-9-9-24 timings. The processor used for this test is Intel's Core 2 Duo E8400, on a P5E3 Premium motherboard from ASUS. With a busspeed of 615.71MHz and a multiplier of 6, the CPU was overclocked to 3694.27 MHz.
Martin Mueller, Senior Director of Engineering at Corsair, shows that the company knows it's share on high performance memory and overclocking. Corsair motivates overclockers to reach an even better performance.
The record has been validated with the famous CPU-Z program and the results can be found here.
