A while ago, Arctic Cooling introduced it's Accelero Xtreme graphics card coolers, available in models for the ATI Radeon HD2900 series, and nVidia's GeForce 8800 line. The company now releases a new version: the Accelero Xtreme 9800. Like the name suggests, this cooler is meant for nVidia's GeForce 9800 GTX cards.

The Accelero Xtreme 9800 features three 80 mm fans and according to Arctic Cooling, is able to reduce the temperature by up to 29 degrees, compared to the 9800 GTX's reference cooler. The Xtreme works with five heatpipes and 107 fins to transport heat efficiently and comes with Arctic Cooling's MX-2 thermal paste. Though the Accelero Xtreme 9800 is quite large, it is compatible with nVidia's SLI technology.

The recommended price for the Arctic Cooling Xtreme 9800 is €34,95 and it should already be available.

Inno3D has added AC's cooler on it's iChill 9800 GTX. The GPU runs at 750 MHz and thanks to the Xtreme 9800, the GDDR3 memory is clocked at 1150 MHz. Compared to the standard Accelero Xtreme, Inno3D's version has white fanblades.
