A while ago, we reported the rumor that Nehalem's first chipset will be called the X58. Intel has now confirmed that the chipset previously known under the Tylersburg codename, will be named the X58. Pictures of the SmackOver, a new motherboard based on this X58 chipset, have appeared on the internet. The new board is to support triple channel DDR3 memory, has an LGA1366 socket and an ICH10 southbridge.

As a joke, Intel has added a reference to the last motherboards (Bonetrail, Skulltrail) between the PCI-e x16 slots.
