Matrox introduces new RGU

Matrox has introduced a new multi-display Remote Graphics Unit (RGU). The Extio F1240 allows to hook up two (dual-link) monitors, six USB devices (like a keyboard and mouse) from up to 250 meters away. To achieve such a distance a glassfiber cable is used. Key features of this device are:  

• Up to two D-sub or DVI connected monitors with a 2560x1600 maximum resolution for the digital signals, and a 1920x1200 for the analog signals.
• Passive cooling;
• Six USB 2.0 connections;
• Integrated audio hardware with microphone, stereo-line-in and a stereo-line-out connection;
  
• PCI en PCIe glass fiber interface cards (not included);
• 128MB graphic memory;
• 2 year warranty.
