Though G.Skill is most famous for it's memory, it's not the only thing they produce. The company is releasing two new Solid State Drives (SSD's).  These 2,5-inch drives will have a maximum reading and writing speed of respectively 100 and 80 MB/sec.

The SSD comes in a 32 and a 64 GB model, both with a SATA II-connection. The disk weighs only 73 grams and according to G.Skill, should be able to function over two million hours. Under load the disk would use 0.41 Watt, when idle only 0.32.

The disk's prices and availability are still unknown.
