Earlier this week AMD introduced a new line of energy efficient Opteron processors. The Five Opteron HE processors, all having an ACP of 55 Watt (65W TDP),  are compatible with server systems supporting two, four or eight physical processors. thumb

The introduced processors are the: 

  • AMD Opteron 2344 HE (1,7 GHz) for 209,00 dollar
  • AMD Opteron 2346 HE (1,8 GHz for 255,00 dollar
  • AMD Opteron 8346 HE (1,8 GHz) for 698,00 dollar
  • AMD Opteron 2347 HE (1,9 GHz) for 377,00 dollar
  • AMD Opteron 8347 HE (1,9 GHz) for 873,00 dollar
