Intel's P43 and P45 available in five weeks

It is already known that Intel will release it's 4-series chipsets in June. There's more specific information available now. DigiTimes claims that Intel will launch it's 4-series chipsets on the Computex 2008. The Computex Expo will take place from 3 to the 7th of June in Taipei, Taiwan. The motherboard manufacturers would deliver all P45 and P43 motherboards two weeks after.

According to DigiTimes the G45 and G43 motherboards, featuring an onboard graphics card, won't be available till three weeks later, in early July. This would give Intel the needed time to solve problems with the VC1 hardware decoding, and to increase the GPU clockspeed to 800 MHz.

The Q45 and Q43 are expected to be affected by the same delay. These chipsets are specially designed for business applications. Intel still needs to configure these chips due to instability in combination with Intel's virtualisation technology. An A3 revision is to solve the problems with both chips and is expected in the second week of July.
