Two screenshots have appeard on an Xtreme Systems' thread, firing up the GeForce 9900 rumors once more. There are two CAD drawings posted of the alleged GeForce 9900 GTX and 9900 GTS.

The topicstarter points to two D10U products, one PCB codenamed P651, the other with codename P65x. In case the screenshots are real this would mean the GeForce 9900 supports Triple-SLI. This feature needs an 8-pins power connector, enough to deliver the maximum 225 Watt that the 9900 GTS needs (75+150 Watt). According to the drawings the 9900 GTX could use up to 300 Watt (75+75+150). Of course this isn't the actual consumption, but the by engineers calculated maximal values, to ensure the card's stability.

The values stated above come from a simple calculation: an 8-pins PCI-Express connector can handle 12,5 Amps on 12 Volts, totaling 150 Watt. A 6-pins connector has a maximum of 6,25 A x 12 V = 75 Watt.

On the rotated image we see small differences between the two cards. There are four memory chips on the front, possibly for on the back too, confirming a 512-bit memory controller. This allows memory capacity of 512, 1024 and 2048 MB.

Both cards have eigh memory controllers. This oppose earlier news: the 9900 GTS may have a 448-bit bus and 896 MB memory. The fact that the NVIO chip is present points out the images are fake: this was never present on a G9x graphics card.

One thing remains certain: we'll be guessing for the GT200 specifications for a while, being unable to verify any of the released information.
