Arctic Cooling has introduced a new memory cooler, the Arctic RC. This thermodynamic cooler is aimed at overclockers and can be placed on both DDR2 and DDR3 modules. The Arctic RC is built out of 100% aluminum and weighs 29 grams.

According to the manufacturer the cooler should be the ideal solution for overclocekrs. When raising the memory voltage a lot of modules lose both overclocking potential as durability because they produce an excessive amount of heat. The Arctic RC is to change this by using an innovative design. The cooler comes with a thermal paste that allows heat to be transported from the modules to the fins more quickly. The cooling fins are quite large to create an optimal heatspread throughout the surface, allowing heat to be dispensed into the surrounding air. The Arctic RC will be available in the stores around halfway this month.
