Rumor has it that the GeForce 9900 GTX will be based on the new GT200 / D10U core. nVidia has confirmed that this core will have a million transistors.  According to unofficial sources the GT200 would also feature 240 shaders, 32 ROP's and 120 TMU's. VR-Zone reports that the card will have a dual-slot TM71 cooler by Cooler Master, measuring 10,5" (26,5cm) long. This heavy cooling is necessary due to the chip's 240W TDP.

nVidia will release more official information on the GT200 next month. It is expected that the 9900 GTX and GTS will be available in July, but this is not confirmed.
