Sapphire has released a new passively cooled graphics card, based on the ATI Radeon HD3870. The Sapphire HD3870 Ultimate Edition's specifications are equal to ATI's reference model, meaning it has a clockspeed of 775 MHz, with 512 MB GDDR4 memory, clocked at 1125Mhz (2,25 GHz effectively).

The Sapphire HD 3870 Ultimate Edition also features all technologies of the 3800 series: Avivo HD, the Unified Video decoder, CrossfireX, Shader Model 4.1 and DirectX 10.1. ATI PowerPlay actively reduces the power consumption of the card, dependant on the load it's under.
