ASUS has released a so-called video enhancement card, the Splendid HD1. According to ASUS the card increases the quality of high definition video from digital and analog output. The video enhancement card supports High Definition Content Protection (HDCP) and a resolution up to 1080p.

The Splendid HD1 has a PCI-E x1 connection and full support for HDMI with audio. In combination with an ASUS graphics card the Splendid HD1 can work in the so-called Demo Mode, which according to the manufacturer will have a positive influence on the framerate of games.

The recommended price is still uknown, it is also not clear when the Splendid HD1 will be available.
