CoolIT Systems has launched a new graphics card cooler, the nVidia MTEC Cold Plate. The cooler combines watercooling with a Peltier element, also known as Thermoelectric Cooling (TEC). CoolIT Systems' nVidia MTEC Cold Plate is compatible with the nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX and 8800 Ultra graphics cards.

The Peltier element is capable of cooling 36 Watts effectively, disposing the heat through the watercooling system. By means of a 1/4 inch connection the cooler can be placed in water cooled systems to replace a regular VGA water block. Besides the 3D-chip the nVidia MTEC Cold Plate also cools the other components of the graphics card, like the memory and the power supply.

More information can be found on the manufacturer's product page.
